Framework for Landscape, a site-specific installation constructed for the Aspen Art Museum, prompted viewers to explore the landscape around the museum via a series of wooden and concrete sculptural elements which led them through the site. Each element--a gateway, a bridge, a bench, a latticed fence--acted as a “frame,” emphasizing a particular aspect of the site or view of the landscape, while offering access to the natural environment. |
